A11-Creating Static Roles in PowerBI

Problem Statement:

Solution:

Step1:

Import the file “House Price”

Go to Transform Data

Remove top 2 rows. Also Remove blank rows. Then Make 1st row as header

Step2: Go to Data model and connect from Type to Property Type

Step3: Create static roles for each of types==D/F/O/S/T.

Step4: Test data by clicking “View as” on top bar.

Step5: Create a table report.

We can test here by choosing corresponding filter.

Step6: Publish report into PowerBI service by clicking Publish button on top right. Publish under “My workspace”

Step 7: In PowerBI service, under My workspce,if we go to Security, we can see the various filters we created.
